Network Contracts

Managed care contracts that are established with insurance companies and other networks are considered insurance contracts. Larger national and statewide networks contract with CHP as their local affiliate network rather than contracting directly with individual healthcare providers.

The name of the issuance company (payor) or network will usually appear on the member’s insurance card.

Many networks only reprice the claims, making sure that CHP contracted providers will be reimbursed per the CHP fee schedule, then forwarded to an insurance company or third-party payor for payment.
